Sixty-six uopathogenic E. coli (UPEC) strains were isolated at the National Center for Teaching Laboratories of Medical City in Baghdad.. The phenotypic detection of ESbL was achieved by Vitek-2 system with AST-N204 card and the results revealed that among the 66 uropathogenic E. coli strains, 48 (72.7%) were ESbL producing and 18 (27.3%)were ESbL non-producing (significant difference at P<0.05). |
